Who is Victoria Nuland?

Victoria Nuland, a career diplomat who has served in both the Obama and Biden administrations, has left a legacy of failed foreign policy and anti-Americanism in her wake.

As the former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs under Obama, Nuland was a key architect of the administration's disastrous regime change efforts in Ukraine and Syria. In Ukraine, she was caught on tape discussing who should lead the country after the overthrow of the democratically elected government, revealing the extent of America's meddling in the country's internal affairs. In Syria, she pushed for increased military aid to rebel groups, many of which had ties to extremist organizations like Al Qaeda. These policies led to a devastating civil war, the rise of ISIS, and a refugee crisis that continues to this day.

Despite her failures, Nuland continued to wield significant influence in the Biden administration as the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. She advocated for a hardline stance against Russia, pushing for increased military aid to Ukraine and supporting sanctions that have hurt the Russian people while doing little to deter the country's leadership. She also played a key role in the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, which left the country in the hands of the Taliban and resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members.

These policies are not only ineffective but also anti-American, as they prioritize the interests of the military-industrial complex and the neoconservative foreign policy establishment over the well-being of the American people. Nuland's departure provides an opportunity for the Biden administration to chart a new course in foreign policy, one that prioritizes diplomacy and cooperation over military intervention and regime change.

As America looks to the future, it must reject the failed policies of the past and embrace a new approach to foreign policy that reflects the values and interests of the American people. Only then can we hope to build a more peaceful and prosperous world for all.
